PIZZA CHEF

PIZZA CHEF / EAST LONDON – This position will suit someone residing in Gonubie

The successful candidate will prepare and cook high-quality pizzas while maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and hygiene standards. We are looking for someone hands-on, reliable, energetic and passionate about food, who can work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment and is flexible to work shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience as a Pizza Chef / Pizza Maker is essential.
• Experience within a hotel, restaurant, pub or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of pizza preparation and cooking techniques.
• Experience working with pizza ovens.
• Good understanding of food preparation, hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Reliable, punctual and well presented.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the hospitality industry.
• Must have a minimum of 2 recent contactable references.

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Formal culinary qualification or relevant hospitality training.
• Experience with wood-fired or specialist pizza ovens.
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchen.
• Knowledge of different pizza styles, toppings and preparation methods.
