About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Lead Cleaning Technician to oversee and execute comprehensive cleaning and sanitation duties in Polokwane . This role is essential for maintaining a safe, hygienic, and presentable environment across the client's facilities. As the Lead Technician, you will guide a team of cleaning staff, ensure adherence to quality standards, manage cleaning supplies, and uphold all safety regulations. This position is perfect for an individual with a strong attention to detail and leadership qualities, dedicated to maintaining superior cleanliness in a dynamic operational setting within Limpopo province.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the daily activities of the cleaning team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Perform a variety of cleaning duties, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing floors, surfaces, and equipment.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and properly stored.
• Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and materials, placing orders as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and training to junior cleaning staff on proper techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning, with at least two years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in using standard cleaning equipment and knowledge of various cleaning chemicals and their applications.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a cleaning environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to lead and interact with team members.
• Physical ability to perform manual cleaning tasks and work in various environmental conditions.
