Local Courier Driver

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Local Courier Driver to join their dynamic team on a part-time basis in Paarl. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe delivery of documents, parcels, and small goods within the local area. This role requires a good knowledge of Paarl and its surroundings, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. As a crucial part of our Driving & Transport operations, you will ensure that our clients receive their items promptly and in excellent condition, contributing to our reputation for reliability in the Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver a variety of items, including documents, packages, and small goods, to customers within the Paarl area.
• Plan daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks.
• Ensure all deliveries are handled with care, maintaining the condition and integrity of the items being transported.
• Provide proof of delivery, collect payments if required, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Conduct basic checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and the public.

Requirements

• Valid Code B or Code 10 driver’s license.
• Previous experience as a Courier Driver or in a similar delivery role is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of the Paarl and surrounding Western Cape road network.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
• Excellent customer service skills.
