Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee diverse projects in Paarl, Western Cape . This leadership role is critical for ensuring that all construction projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage all phases of the construction lifecycle, from initial planning and procurement to site execution and project closeout. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction methodologies and regulations, playing a key role in delivering successful projects for our client and their stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards on all construction sites.
• Manage and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers effectively.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Professional registration (e.g., Pr. CM, Pr. Eng.) is an advantage.
