About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Civil Engineer to join their prominent construction firm in Vereeniging . This senior role involves leading design teams, managing complex civil engineering projects, and ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure development from conception to completion. You will be responsible for technical oversight, project planning, resource management, and client liaison, playing a critical role in shaping the built environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers and technicians.
• Oversee the design, planning, and execution of major civil engineering projects .
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, codes, and quality standards .
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Review and approve engineering designs , calculations, and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering .
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and project management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills .
• Expert knowledge of geotechnical engineering , structural analysis, and hydraulics.
