About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Toddler Caregiver and Educator for their well-established centre in Paarl . This role focuses on creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment specifically designed for toddlers, fostering their early development through play-based learning and nurturing interactions. You will be responsible for meeting the unique needs of toddlers, including their physical, emotional, and cognitive growth, and building positive relationships with both the children and their families. This is an excellent opportunity for a caregiver passionate about the critical first years of development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, learning, and social-emotional development.
- Manage daily routines including feeding, napping, diapering/toileting, and hygiene.
- Create a stimulating and engaging environment with learning materials and safe play areas.
- Observe and document children's development, providing feedback to parents and management.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting positive behaviour and self-expression.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with toddlers in a professional childcare setting.
- Understanding of toddler development milestones and appropriate care practices.
- Patience, creativity, and a warm, nurturing personality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children and parents.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning space.
- Relevant childcare qualification or certification is highly preferred.
