Our client is seeking a results-oriented Chemical Engineer to step into the role of Plant Superintendent in East London . You will be responsible for the overall management of plant operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and production targets are consistently met. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, and safety.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize plant performance and profitability.
- Manage a team of engineers, supervisors, and plant operators, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control protocols.
- Manage plant budgets, resource allocation, and capital expenditure planning.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical plant operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical processes, equipment, and safety management systems.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
