About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecoms Network Administrator to join their team, working remotely. This role focuses on the day-to-day operational health and maintenance of our extensive telecommunications network. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of all network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and communication platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, and maintain network hardware and software systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and security incidents.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Provide technical support to end-users and assist in resolving network-related problems.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in network administration within the telecommunications sector.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and network security.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and proactively in a remote setting.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
