About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Remote Renewable Energy Analyst to join their forward-thinking team, supporting operations nationwide from a remote capacity. You will be instrumental in evaluating the feasibility, performance, and economic viability of various renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage. This role involves extensive data analysis, market research, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making and investment planning. As a fully remote employee, you will collaborate closely with geographically dispersed teams, contributing valuable insights to drive the growth of sustainable energy solutions across South Africa , leveraging advanced analytical tools and industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct techno-economic feasibility studies for new renewable energy projects .
• Analyze market trends, policy changes, and regulatory frameworks impacting the renewable energy sector.
• Develop financial models to assess project profitability, returns on investment, and sensitivity analysis.
• Evaluate the performance of existing renewable energy assets and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management, investors, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate remotely with project development, engineering, and finance teams to support project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in renewable energy analysis , project finance, or market research.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills.
• Proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Python) and energy modeling tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a remote , collaborative environment.
