About the Role

Our client is looking for an ambitious Junior Cloud Engineer Apprentice to join their innovative IT team in Bloemfontein. This hybrid role is perfect for someone with a foundational understanding of IT infrastructure and a strong desire to specialize in cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will be trained to manage, deploy, and optimize cloud environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Working alongside experienced cloud engineers, you will gain practical, hands‑on experience in a collaborative, hybrid setting, contributing to critical infrastructure projects and developing essential skills for a career in cloud computing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Learn to monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify issues, and implement solutions.
• Support the automation of infrastructure tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Participate in cloud security best practices and implement necessary controls.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams in a hybrid work model to ensure smooth service delivery.
