About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized Environmental Chemical Engineer to join their dedicated sustainability team in Mossel Bay . This role focuses on developing and implementing chemical processes and solutions to minimize environmental impact and ensure regulatory compliance. You will work on projects related to waste treatment, pollution control, and resource efficiency within our chemical operations. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement chemical treatment processes for industrial wastewater and emissions.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international environmental regulations.
- Optimize processes to reduce waste generation and improve resource utilization.
- Monitor environmental performance metrics and prepare regulatory reports.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization or strong focus on environmental engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance and process design within the chemical industry.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, pollution control technologies, and waste management systems.
- Proficiency in environmental modeling software and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of chemical principles applied to environmental systems.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills.
