Project Manager - Software Development

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Project Manager to lead software development projects within their innovative tech division in Paarl . This hybrid role requires you to manage the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance. You will work closely with engineering teams, product owners, and QA specialists, fostering an agile and collaborative environment. This position offers a dynamic work setting, combining strategic in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. We are seeking a proactive individual with a strong technical understanding and a proven ability to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects using Agile methodologies.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to define project scope and requirements.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all project team members.
• Oversee the deployment process and post-launch support for software releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in software project management, preferably in an Agile environment.
• In-depth understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
