Remote Youth Development Facilitator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Remote Youth Development Facilitator to inspire and guide young people from various communities, with a focus on supporting youth in and around Stellenbosch. This fully remote position requires a passion for empowering youth through engaging online programs and activities. You will design and deliver virtual workshops, mentorship sessions, and skill-building activities aimed at fostering personal growth, leadership, and career readiness. Key Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate engaging virtual workshops and training sessions focused on life skills, leadership, and career exploration for youth.
• Provide online mentorship and guidance to young people, supporting their personal and academic development.
• Utilize various digital communication tools and platforms to engage youth effectively and build positive relationships.
• Develop and curate relevant online resources and materials to support youth learning and development.
• Collaborate with online community groups and educational institutions to promote program participation.
• Monitor youth progress and provide feedback to participants and relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of online youth development programs.

Requirements

• Experience in youth work, education, social work, or a related field, with a strong background in facilitating online programs.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate young people through virtual platforms.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills suitable for an online environment.
• Proficiency in using video conferencing tools, learning management systems, and other digital collaboration platforms.
• A genuine passion for youth empowerment and development.
• Ability to work independently and manage a remote schedule effectively.
• Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities facing youth in the Western Cape is beneficial, though not essential for remote work.
