Description

Responsible for Technical Underwriting and Reinsurance processing in Commercial/Personal Lines Centres of Excellence in the COE. Support the team/division’s effectiveness by ensuring there is a highly effective level of administrative support to the team/division and its internal customers.Be accountable for a broad range of activities from basic, administrative & technical tasks to problem solving, query handling, through to contribution with projects within the team or Business Support Services and Broker Distribution. Provide business support to the COE to improve and maintain high service levels.

Requirements

Key performance areas

• Technical & administrative support including general operational support and effective co-ordination of activities.
• Effectively provide professional technical & administration support to Managers /Division as necessary
• Establish, maintain and develop as appropriate efficient office and administration systems and processes, to ensure the smooth and effective running of the office the division at all times.
• Collate and produce high standard documents for a variety of forums including team and management meetings and reports
• Review and coordinate leads / referrals to Specialists Division.
• Contribute to projects and activities as appropriate for the team such as project co-ordination, communication support and day to day operational activities.
• Proactively identify where additional administrative and technical support can be given to managers and the Teams in the Division.
• Create and maintain a document repository for the Technical Teams in the COE, carry out regular reviews to ensure the accuracy of these documents.
• Liaise with Reinsurance Manager, process reinsurance transactions from start to finish.
• Work with the Head of COE on any projects deemed priority from time to time.

Qualification & Experience

• Matric/grade 12
• Insurance Diploma or equivalent experience
• Three or more years of relevant technical experience.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge and skills reflective of competent practitioner; progress within various Bryte positions of increased responsibility
