About the Role
Our client requires a skilled and detail-oriented Film Editor for post-production work in Richards Bay . This role involves skillfully assembling raw footage into compelling visual narratives that meet project objectives. You will work closely with directors and producers to refine edits, ensuring pacing, tone, and emotional impact are effectively conveyed. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of storytelling, technical proficiency with editing software, and the ability to work collaboratively under deadlines. Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into polished and engaging final products for various media.
- Collaborate with directors and producers to understand project vision and implement creative feedback.
- Ensure seamless pacing, rhythm, and emotional flow within edited sequences.
- Select appropriate music, sound effects, and graphics to enhance the narrative.
- Manage and organize project files, ensuring efficient workflow and archival.
- Stay current with editing techniques and advancements in post-production technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Film Editor or Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing narrative editing skills.
- Proficiency in non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Solid understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working in or with the film industry in the Richards Bay area is a plus.
