Remote UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and user-focused Remote UX/UI Designer to join their innovative digital product team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for designing intuitive and engaging user experiences for our client's web and mobile applications. This role requires a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into seamless and aesthetically pleasing interfaces, contributing to the development of cutting-edge digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, create personas, and map user journeys to understand user needs and pain points.
• Design wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile applications using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Develop intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to define user requirements and ensure seamless implementation of designs.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and performance data.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and shipped products.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, typography, and layout.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote work setting.
