About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and strategic Renewable Energy Policy Advisor to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role involves researching, analyzing, and advising on policies that shape the development and deployment of renewable energy sources. You will engage with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and internal teams to advocate for supportive regulatory frameworks and influence energy transition strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyze current and proposed renewable energy policies at local, national, and international levels.
• Develop policy recommendations and position papers to support the growth of renewable energy.
• Engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry associations to advocate for favorable policy environments.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the renewable energy sector.
• Provide expert advice and insights to internal teams on policy implications and opportunities.
• Prepare reports, briefs, and presentations on policy matters for various audiences.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Public Policy, Law, Economics, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy policy, environmental advocacy, or governmental affairs, with a focus on renewable energy .
• Deep understanding of energy markets, technologies, and policy mechanisms.
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage complex policy initiatives in a remote environment .
