About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automotive Service Technician to join their innovative, fully remote team. This position focuses on providing expert remote diagnostic support and technical consultation for complex automotive issues across a wide range of vehicle makes and models. You will leverage cutting-edge diagnostic tools and remote access technologies to guide on-site technicians, troubleshoot intricate problems, and contribute to improving overall service efficiency and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert remote diagnostics and technical support for complex automotive issues using advanced diagnostic software and remote access tools.


• Analyze technical data, diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and vehicle telemetry to accurately identify root causes of malfunctions.


• Communicate effectively with on-site technicians, providing clear, step-by-step guidance for repairs and maintenance procedures.


• Document diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and resolutions thoroughly within the client's case management system.


• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of current automotive technologies, including hybrid and electric vehicle systems.


• Contribute to the development of remote diagnostic protocols and best practices to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as an Automotive Service Technician, with a strong emphasis on diagnostics.


• ASE certifications (A1-A8, L1, L2) required; master certification preferred.


• Proficiency with various OEM diagnostic software, scan tools, and remote diagnostic platforms.


• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical information remotely.


• Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle systems is a significant advantage.
