Distribution Supervisor - FMCG

About the Role

Our client, a key player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector , is seeking a proactive and organized Distribution Supervisor to oversee their warehouse and distribution operations in Mahikeng, North West . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and timely flow of goods, managing inventory, and leading a team of warehouse staff. You will be responsible for optimizing warehouse processes, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring the accuracy of stock records. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong logistical skills and leadership potential to contribute to the smooth operations of a growing company in the North West province .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching of goods.
• Manage and lead a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance and training.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and conduct regular stock takes.
• Optimize warehouse layout and processes for maximum efficiency and space utilization.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely deliveries to customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in warehouse supervision or logistics, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a team effectively and motivate staff.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is an advantage.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment in Mahikeng.
