About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly organized and experienced Events and Banqueting Manager to lead their dedicated team in Randburg . This critical role involves the planning, execution, and management of all banquets, conferences, and special events held at the venue. You will be responsible for ensuring flawless service, exceeding client expectations, and maximizing profitability for the events department. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership abilities, impeccable attention to detail, and a deep understanding of event logistics and client management within the vibrant Randburg hospitality landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of event planning, from initial client consultation to final execution.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring profitability while meeting client requirements.
- Coordinate with catering, A/V, and other departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers.
- Lead, train, and motivate the banqueting and event staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Conduct pre- and post-event meetings to review performance and gather feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management or banqueting, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of event logistics, contract negotiation, and budget management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple high-profile events simultaneously.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
