Lodge Management Couple - Private Game Reserve - Greater Kruger, Mpumalanga

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and committed Lodge Management Couple to join a private game reserve in the Greater Kruger, Mpumalanga.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional couple with complementary hospitality skills who are looking to take on a hands-on management role within a remote safari environment. The successful couple will work closely together to ensure the smooth running of the lodge and an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lodge
• Ensuring consistently high standards of guest service and hospitality
• Managing, motivating and supporting the lodge team
• Handling guest relations and ensuring personalised guest experiences
• Coordinating daily lodge activities and operational requirements
• Assisting with staff management, training and performance
• Monitoring stock levels, ordering and general operational requirements
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service
• Assisting with lodge administration and financial controls
• Ensuring health, safety and hygiene standards are maintained
• Working together to resolve operational challenges and guest requirements
• Supporting all areas of lodge operations when required

Requirements

• Previous lodge management or senior hospitality experience
• Experience within a private game reserve or luxury safari environment would be advantageous
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent guest relations and communication abilities
• A hands-on and flexible approach to lodge operations
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively as a team
• Professional, mature and service-focused approach
• Comfortable working and living in a remote environment
• Both individuals should bring complementary skills suited to lodge operations
