Junior Civil Engineer - Roads and Highways

About the Role Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Civil Engineer to join their roads and highways division in Polokwane. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands‑on experience in the design, planning, and supervision of road construction projects. You will work closely with senior engineers, contributing to the development of critical transportation infrastructure in Limpopo. This role is office-based, providing a solid foundation in practical engineering and project execution within a supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in the geometric design and drafting of roads, intersections, and associated infrastructure. Perform quantity calculations and cost estimations for road construction elements. Support site investigations and data collection for road design purposes. Prepare technical documentation and reports under the guidance of senior engineers. Gain experience in reviewing construction methods and material compliance for highway projects. Collaborate with the team on project planning and coordination activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with exposure to road design . Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and basic surveying principles. Good understanding of road construction materials and methods.
