Senior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to drive significant operational improvements in Stellenbosch . This leadership role will involve analyzing complex manufacturing and business processes, developing strategic solutions, and overseeing their implementation to achieve enhanced efficiency, quality, and cost savings. You will work with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and methodologies, contributing to the company's competitive edge. This position is ideal for a seasoned engineer with a strong track record in process innovation and operational excellence within a challenging industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the assessment and redesign of core manufacturing and business processes for optimal performance.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives related to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational efficiency.
• Manage major improvement projects from conception through to successful execution and measurement.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Analyze operational data to identify key drivers of performance and areas for strategic intervention.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment and buy-in for process changes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on strategic projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma.
• Strong capabilities in data analysis, simulation, and financial justification of projects.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
