About the Role Our client seeks a visionary Lead Automotive Software Engineer to spearhead their innovative software development efforts in Centurion . You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions for next-generation vehicles, focusing on embedded systems, infotainment, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). This leadership role involves mentoring a talented team of engineers, defining technical roadmaps, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable automotive software. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility, collaborating with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of automotive technology. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, architecture, and development of embedded software for automotive applications. Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Define software development processes, coding standards, and best practices for the automotive sector. Collaborate with hardware engineers, product managers, and testing teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Develop and implement robust testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and system validation. Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory requirements in automotive software engineering. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Extensive experience (8+ years) in automotive software development , with a strong focus on embedded systems. Proven experience in a lead or senior engineering role, with demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities. Proficiency in C/C++, embedded Linux, and real-time operating systems (RTOS). Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet). Familiarity with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and other relevant automotive standards.
