About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and communicative Remote Dispatcher to provide critical 24/7 support for their logistics operations. Working from a remote location, you will be responsible for coordinating driver schedules, monitoring shipment progress, and responding to operational challenges in real-time. This role requires excellent multitasking abilities, strong problem-solving skills, and the capacity to remain calm and effective under pressure. The ideal candidate is adept at using dispatch software and ensuring seamless communication within a distributed team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize daily dispatch operations for a fleet of drivers, coordinating schedules and routes from a remote position.
- Monitor shipment status and driver locations using GPS tracking and dispatch software.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, providing instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes.
- Respond promptly to any issues or emergencies that arise during operations, implementing timely solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatches, delivery times, and any operational exceptions.
- Liaise with other departments, such as customer service and warehouse operations, to ensure smooth coordination.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or a related transportation role, with experience working remotely .
- Proficiency in using dispatch and logistics management software .
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 rotating shift environment, managing responsibilities remotely.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
