About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Telecom Network Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Midrand . Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy complex telecom network solutions , including routing, switching, and transmission systems.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network capacity planning, upgrades, and the integration of new technologies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and skill development.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new equipment and services to enhance network capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom network engineering , with a strong understanding of protocols like TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Proven experience with network hardware from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei.
• Proficiency in network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with fiber optic networks and wireless communication technologies is highly advantageous.
