Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to join a luxury F&B restaurant in Hillcrest, KZN.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards, strong team performance and a consistently high-quality guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
Lead, manage and motivate the restaurant team to achieve operational and service excellence.
Ensure consistently high standards of guest service and hospitality.
Manage staff performance, training and development.
Oversee stock control, ordering, wastage and cost management.
Monitor financial performance and assist with achieving revenue and profitability targets.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational standards.
Handle guest feedback and resolve any operational or service-related concerns professionally.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders.
Drive a positive and professional working environment.
Ensure the restaurant’s standards, values and reputation are maintained at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a senior management role within a high-end restaurant or F&B environment.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
A strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial controls and cost management.
A hands-on management approach with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Relevant hospitality qualifications would be advantageous.
