About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Procurement Specialist to join their established purchasing department. This position will be fully remote, allowing you to contribute significantly from anywhere while focusing on optimizing the acquisition of goods and services for operations in and around Richards Bay .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management for various categories.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse range of suppliers.
- Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any issues to ensure timely supply to operational teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across different departments to understand their specific procurement needs and requirements.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere strictly to company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations in Richards Bay .
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a procurement or purchasing function.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts and achieving significant cost reductions.
- Proficiency with modern procurement software, e-sourcing tools, and ERP systems.
