Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Develop and carry out sales strategies for aftersales services, spare parts and maintenance solutions
- Identify new business opportunities in the mineral separation and comminution equipment sectors
- Meet or exceed regional sales targets
- Grow spares and service business and increase market share at key mine sites
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies and processing plants
- Provide technical support and aftersales solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
- Address customer concerns and escalation of technical issues as needed
Technical and Aftersales Support
- Advise customers on equipment maintenance, optimisation and troubleshooting
- Work with service teams to ensure timely, efficient aftersales support
- Conduct site visits to monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements
Service Team Set-up and Management
- Establish and oversee service teams for equipment maintenance and support in the Northern Cape
- Ensure teams are well trained, equipped and deployed efficiently
- Monitor team performance and improve operational efficiency
Spares and Refurbishment
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical components are available on time
- Develop and implement refurbishment strategies to extend equipment lifespan
- Work with engineering and procurement to improve parts supply and refurbishment processes
Market Analysis and Reporting
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity in the Northern Cape mining sector
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience in aftersales, technical sales, service or site management, or business development in the mining or heavy equipment industry
- Strong technical knowledge of mineral separation and comminution equipment
- Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
- Willingness to be based in Kathu and travel extensively within the Northern Cape
Advantageous
- Experience in the Northern Cape mining sector
- Experience in setting up or managing service teams
