Senior Site Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Site Manager to oversee and direct construction projects in Midrand, Gauteng . You will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, resource allocation, and stakeholder management, driving project success from initiation to completion within a demanding yet rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for all phases of construction.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient operations.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on site, conducting regular safety inspections and training.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
• Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and quality standards throughout the construction process.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and financial records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in construction management , with at least 3 years in a senior supervisory role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial or residential construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant building regulations .
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
