About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Delivery Specialist to join their expanding fleet operations in George . This role is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient distribution of products within the Western Cape region. You will be responsible for driving and managing deliveries, maintaining vehicle condition, and ensuring customer satisfaction upon delivery. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management skills, a deep understanding of the local road infrastructure, and an unwavering commitment to safety protocols. This is a hands‑on position for an individual who enjoys being on the road and contributing directly to operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute timely and accurate deliveries of goods to various customer locations within the designated service area.
• Perform routine checks on delivery vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition and safe to operate.
• Maintain detailed records of all deliveries, including proof of delivery signatures and any reported discrepancies.
• Handle products with care, ensuring they remain undamaged during transit and delivery.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery status, potential delays, and any customer-related issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safe driving and vehicle operation.

Requirements

• Valid South African driver's license, including professional driving permit (PDP).
• Proven track record in a similar delivery or driving role, preferably within fleet operations.
• In-depth knowledge of the road network in and around George and the greater Western Cape .
• Strong customer service orientation and professional presentation.
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet tight delivery deadlines.
• Willingness to work varying shifts as required by operational demands.
