Motion Designer

We're looking for an experienced Motion Designer to join our remote team in South Africa. At Empathy Lab, we help the world's most ambitious brands turn data and AI into real commercial outcomes. Here, creativity meets tech: ideas don't stay on the page, they get engineered into reality.ResponsibilitiesCreate powerful stories through motion design that capture and engage audiencesApply strong knowledge of storytelling, rhythm, composition and pace to all projectsUse a variety of 2D and 3D animation software to produce high-quality contentStay up to date with the latest trends in visual and motion designDraw from a broad pool of references and inspiration to inform creative workPartner with creative team members and key stakeholders to develop content for web, mobile, video and other platformsWork effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong project management skillsMeet with clients to understand needs and share creative ideasCommunicate clearly, interpret feedback and meet tight deadlinesMaintain compliance with company guidelines and design standardsRequirementsBachelor degree or equivalent diploma desiredTwo to three years of experience in a studio or agency settingStrong technical skills in 2D and 3D animation software, including After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Frame.io, Unreal and FigmaExperience with social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTokFamiliarity with After Effects expressions, Trapcode Suite, VideoCopilot Element 3D, Plexus and 3D integrationAbility to build creative and unique ideasConfidence to communicate and present ideas to peersFlexibility to adapt ideas to suit client expectationsAptitude to work constructively under stress in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environmentAwareness of digital media and evolving online platformsInnovative approach to advertising executionNice to haveNotions, skills or passion for generative AI video contentNotions, skills or passion for Unreal Engine or UnityNotions, skills or passion for 3D tools such as BlenderWe offerMedical Aid and Pension Fund20 vacation days per year + plus fixed Public HolidaysCorporate Programs including Employee Referral Program with rewardsGlobal travel medical and accident insuranceLearning and development opportunities including in-house training and coaching, professional certifications, and courses #J-18808-Ljbffr
