About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic, globally distributed team. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge projects within the Oil & Gas sector, focusing on optimizing hydrocarbon recovery and maximizing asset value. You will work independently and collaboratively with geoscientists, production engineers, and management to develop and implement reservoir management strategies. This role is ideal for a self‑motivated professional who excels in a remote work environment and is passionate about leveraging advanced simulation techniques and data analytics to drive operational efficiency and strategic decision-making for exploration and production activities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive reservoir simulation studies using industry‑standard software to forecast production and assess reserves.


• Conduct decline curve analysis, material balance, and volumetric calculations for various reservoir types.


• Identify and evaluate opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and optimize production strategies.


• Perform economic evaluations and risk assessments for development projects and field re‑development plans.


• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.


• Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of reservoir engineering practices within the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.


• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Reservoir Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.


• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG) and data analysis tools.


• Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid flow in porous media, and EOR techniques.


• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
