Senior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to join their team in Mahikeng . This role adopts a hybrid work model, combining on-site presence for critical tasks with the flexibility of remote work. You will be pivotal in driving efficiency improvements across all operational areas, from production and logistics to supply chain management. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to analyze complex systems, develop innovative solutions, and lead implementation efforts. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the company's strategic goals of cost reduction and productivity enhancement, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of optimized manufacturing processes and systems.
• Apply advanced lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies.
• Develop and manage strategic projects focused on capacity planning, layout optimization, and material flow improvements.
• Conduct in-depth performance analyses, including time studies, ergonomic assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Mentor and guide junior industrial engineers, fostering their technical and professional development.
• Collaborate with leadership to align engineering strategies with overall business objectives and operational targets.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with a focus on process optimization and project leadership.
• Expertise in lean Six Sigma principles (Black Belt certification preferred), simulation modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex improvement projects with measurable results.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and project management tools.
