About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead their remote engineering team, with a focus on projects in the Paarl region. This fully remote position requires a proactive individual with extensive experience in geotechnical investigation, analysis, and design. You will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance, managing complex projects, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in all geotechnical aspects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex geotechnical investigations and site characterization projects.
• Provide expert analysis and design recommendations for foundations, slopes, and earth retaining structures.
• Develop comprehensive geotechnical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee the work of junior engineers and technicians within the remote team.
• Review and approve geotechnical designs and construction methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant geotechnical engineering codes, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Expertise in advanced geotechnical analysis software and modeling techniques.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale geotechnical projects.
