About This Job

This is a full-time remote position for a Systems Engineer on a 12-month renewable contract. The role involves supporting and maintaining critical IT infrastructure in a distributed environment, requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online
• Manage virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Oversee networking infrastructure and ensure optimal performance
• Handle Windows Server and Active Directory administration
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell
• Provide advanced L3 troubleshooting and conduct root cause analysis for complex issues
• Collaborate with teams to ensure system reliability and security

Must Have Experience

• Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online)
• VMware or Hyper-V
• Networking
• Windows Server and Active Directory
• Backup and disaster recovery (BDR)
• PowerShell
• L3 troubleshooting and root cause
• Proficiency in English

Nice to Have Skills

• Azure
• SAN Storage
• RMM
• Acting as a senior escalation point for L1/L2
