Remote Sourcing Specialist

Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Remote Sourcing Specialist to join their innovative procurement department, supporting operations remotely from the Paarl region. This role is pivotal in identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers globally, focusing on achieving cost savings, ensuring quality, and mitigating supply chain risks. You will conduct in-depth market analysis, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships with suppliers to support the company's strategic objectives. This fully remote position requires a proactive individual with excellent research, negotiation, and communication skills, capable of excelling in an independent work environment and driving significant value through strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and research potential suppliers globally, assessing their capabilities, reliability, and pricing.
• Lead negotiation efforts for new and existing supplier contracts, aiming for optimal terms and cost efficiencies.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure competitive pricing and ensure a reliable supply of goods and services.
• Analyze market data and trends to forecast potential risks and opportunities within the supply chain.
• Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration, drive performance improvements, and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their sourcing needs and provide expert guidance.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing , procurement, or a related supply chain role.
• Proven track record of success in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Strong analytical and market research skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills for remote collaboration.
• Proficiency with sourcing platforms and procurement software is essential.
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in a remote setting , demonstrating strong self-management skills.
