Key Responsibilities
- Design and construct novel genetic circuits and metabolic pathways using advanced molecular biology techniques.
- Develop and implement high-throughput screening methods for characterizing engineered biological systems.
- Perform detailed data analysis and interpretation of experimental results, including omics data.
- Collaborate virtually with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and computational biologists.
- Troubleshoot experimental challenges and optimize protocols for increased efficiency and reliability.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications, patent applications, and internal reports.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Synthetic Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in genetic engineering, DNA assembly techniques (e.g., Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate), and CRISPR-based gene editing.
- Familiarity with computational design tools and databases relevant to synthetic biology.
- Experience with microbial fermentation and characterization of engineered strains is highly desirable.
