Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to spearhead significant construction projects in the Centurion area. This role is crucial for overseeing all phases of the construction process, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage site operations, coordinate with contractors and engineers, and maintain strong relationships with clients and regulatory bodies. The hybrid nature of this role allows for effective site supervision combined with strategic planning and reporting from a flexible work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient project progress.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and financial statements.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure project alignment and resolve any issues.
• Implement risk management strategies to proactively identify and mitigate potential construction hazards and delays.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management .
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale commercial or residential building projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in construction project management software and tools.
