Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing software development company in Nelspruit , is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance their development and operations processes. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of their applications. This role demands a strong understanding of cloud technologies, containerization, and automation tools. You'll play a key role in fostering collaboration between development and operations teams, driving efficiency and speed in software delivery within the Mpumalanga region.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage and automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Implement and manage containerization platforms such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve reliability and scalability.
• Develop and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth application deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related role.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and system administration.
