Remote Payroll Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Payroll Specialist to manage all aspects of payroll processing for their South African employees. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home. You will ensure accurate and timely payroll runs, manage statutory deductions, and maintain payroll records in compliance with relevant legislation. Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently.
• Manage statutory deductions, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
• Ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and other payroll-related legislation.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and update changes as needed.
• Process new hires, terminations, and employee status changes.
• Reconcile payroll reports and address any discrepancies promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or Administrator (minimum 3 years).
• In-depth knowledge of South African payroll legislation and tax regulations.
• Proficiency with payroll software systems (e.g., VIP Payroll, Sage Payroll).
• Strong understanding of HR processes related to payroll.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills suitable for remote work.
