Payroll Specialist

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage their payroll processing and administration in Paarl. This role is essential for ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, and benefits to all employees, while maintaining compliance with labor laws and company policies. You will be responsible for managing the entire payroll cycle, resolving queries, and ensuring the integrity of payroll data. This position offers a stable and important role within the HR and finance functions of the organization, contributing to employee satisfaction and operational smoothness.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage full-cycle payroll for all employees accurately and on time, adhering to deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with South African payroll legislation, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
• Manage employee data in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and relevant departments.
• Handle payroll-related queries from employees, providing clear and timely resolutions.
• Liaise with external payroll service providers and government agencies as necessary.

Requirements

• National Diploma in Payroll Management, Human Resources, or Accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., VIP Payroll, Sage) and HRIS systems.
• Strong understanding of South African labor law and payroll tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to assist employees effectively.
