BIM Architect

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a proficient BIM Architect to join their progressive, remote-first architectural practice. This role is critical in advancing the firm's capabilities in Building Information Modeling, ensuring seamless integration across all project phases. You will be responsible for developing and implementing BIM strategies, creating sophisticated models, and collaborating with project teams to enhance design efficiency and coordination. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of BIM workflows and a passion for leveraging technology to optimize architectural processes, all within a supportive and fully remote work environment designed for maximum productivity and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage BIM execution plans for various architectural projects.
• Create and maintain complex 3D models and associated data within the BIM environment.
• Coordinate BIM models with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers for clash detection and integration.
• Generate drawings, schedules, and reports directly from BIM models.
• Provide training and support to other team members on BIM software and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's BIM standards and workflows.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist with a strong focus on BIM.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with BIM software, particularly Revit.
• Proven ability to develop and manage BIM projects from concept to construction documentation.
• Understanding of COBie and other data exchange standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, crucial for remote collaboration.
• Familiarity with Navisworks for coordination and clash detection is advantageous.
