Senior Z/Os Infrastructure & Cloud Architect

Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of cloud strategies in Soweto. You will work closely with development and operations teams to architect robust, resilient, and high-performing cloud-based solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of appropriate cloud services and technologies to meet business requirements.
• Develop migration strategies and plans for moving existing applications and infrastructure to the cloud.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing management of cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices, governance, and cost optimization.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, recommending innovations where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in IT architecture, with a strong focus on cloud computing.
• Proven experience designing and deploying complex solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• In-depth knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
