About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Buyer II to join their dynamic procurement team based in Centurion . In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and procurement of various goods and services, focusing on optimizing cost, quality, and delivery. You will play a key part in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for assigned categories of goods and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's standards for quality and ethics.
• Conduct competitive bidding processes and negotiate contracts to achieve optimal pricing and terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide expert advice.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing and contract negotiation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency with procurement software and data analysis tools.
• A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
