About the Role

Our client is seeking a dependable Field Operations Technician to support their installations and maintenance activities in the Vereeniging area and surrounding regions. This role is vital for ensuring the successful deployment and continuous operation of our specialized equipment at various client sites. You will be responsible for hands-on work, including installation, repair, and routine servicing, often requiring travel and working autonomously. Key Responsibilities

• Perform installations of new equipment and systems according to company standards and client requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability of deployed assets.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on various types of equipment.
• Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate service logs, inventory records, and reports on all field activities.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental policies during field operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Field Operations Technician or in a related installation and maintenance role.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving within the Vereeniging region and beyond for work.
• A technical qualification in a relevant field is preferred.
