DeFi Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced DeFi Engineer to join their pioneering team, with the option to work remotely or from their office in Richards Bay . You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and applications. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement core components of DeFi protocols , such as decentralized exchanges (DEXs), lending platforms, and yield farming mechanisms.
• Develop and optimize smart contracts for DeFi applications, ensuring security and efficiency.
• Integrate with various blockchain networks and external data sources.
• Conduct rigorous testing and auditing of DeFi protocols to ensure robustness and prevent exploits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps and implement new features.
• Monitor and maintain deployed DeFi applications, addressing any issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and deploying DeFi applications and smart contracts.
• Strong proficiency in Solidity and experience with relevant frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle).
• Deep understanding of DeFi concepts, tokenomics, and financial primitives.
• Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure and decentralized technologies.
• Experience with security best practices for smart contracts and DeFi protocols.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
