About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer to spearhead complex industrial projects from their base in Mossel Bay . This role demands a proactive individual capable of managing all electrical engineering aspects of projects, from conceptualization through to commissioning. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance in the design and implementation of electrical systems for diverse industrial applications. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design, engineering, and implementation for industrial plants and facilities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, control system architectures, and specifications for power distribution, machinery, and automation.
• Oversee the procurement of electrical equipment and materials, liaising with suppliers and ensuring quality standards.
• Manage on-site electrical installation teams, providing technical direction and ensuring safe work practices are followed.
• Conduct thorough testing, commissioning, and performance verification of all electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and instrumentation issues that arise during project execution and operation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering , with a significant focus on industrial projects .
• Proven track record in managing electrical aspects of large-scale industrial construction or modification projects.
• Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and project management tools.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical codes, safety standards (e.g., OSHA, local regulations), and equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
