Project Manager - Energy Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager with extensive experience in energy infrastructure projects to lead initiatives from their Randburg office. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex energy projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, meticulous planning, and the ability to navigate diverse project challenges. You will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation and stakeholder management through to closure, ensuring effective coordination of multidisciplinary teams and resources. This is a critical role in expanding our energy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and closing of energy infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, including engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate project status, progress, and key issues to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience managing large-scale energy projects , such as power plants, transmission lines, or renewable installations.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
