About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Farm Manager to oversee a large-scale agricultural operation in the picturesque George region. This role requires hands-on leadership in managing all aspects of crop production, livestock, and farm infrastructure to ensure optimal efficiency and profitability. You will be responsible for strategic planning, resource allocation, and leading a dedicated farm team. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern farming techniques, a strong commitment to sustainable agriculture, and the ability to manage complex operations effectively on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day farm operations, including planting, cultivation, harvesting, and livestock care.
• Develop and implement annual operating plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Supervise, train, and motivate farm staff, ensuring high productivity and adherence to safety standards.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Implement and monitor best practices in soil conservation , water management, and pest control.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Farm Manager or in a similar senior agricultural management role.
• Extensive knowledge of crop science, livestock management , and general farming practices.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with agricultural machinery operation and maintenance.
• Ability to manage budgets and optimize farm profitability.
